Equality and diversity toolkit (Word document)
A collaborative equality and diversity toolkit for use by Consortium Advisers with their consortia and partnerships has been developed in consultation with consortium leads by South East Consortium Advisers, Helen Scott and Helen Hume. The toolkit explores the context of challenging stereotypes, raising aspirations and promoting diversity and inclusion, as well as including a two-page checklist. The toolkit applies to all 14-19 delivery and not just the Diplomas.
Nuts and Bolts Guide: Gender equality (PDF)
This guide is for anyone involved in Diploma consortia - teachers, tutors, lecturers and any other practitioners, as well as managers and leaders.

It explores ways to encourage both male and female learners to consider qualifications and careers that are not typical to their gender. It suggests activities to engage and support young people to make choices based on their interests and aptitudes, rather than their gender. The guide gives an overview of gender equality issues and includes real examples of how consortia are tackling these issues and promoting gender equality through Diploma delivery.
